through social and economic inclusion in southern Belize
The project will support collective initiatives to improve living conditions, ensure food security and generate income.
The ten participating villages are located in the Toledo and Stann Creek districts:
20 Community Groups, approximately 160 people, will expand their knowledge
on topics such as entrepreneurship (business plans, marketing), nutrition, health (household and community sanitation, hygiene), gender equality, and natural resource management (forest fires, fuel-efficient cooking).
The participating Community Groups will be eligible to access funding as subgrantees.
They will implement community development or income-generating subprojects in their villages based on community needs, identified and prioritized by them.
During project implementation, HPPBZ will seek to collaborate with representatives from:
Start: August 2021
